My Summary
**** Space For One More Baby/Toddler/Pre-Schooler/ School Age Child ****
About Me
I'm a mother to three friendly kids; Gabbie 11, Chris 9 and Caleb 3 and I mind a 19 month old during school hours. I'm a newly registered independent childminder, registered with Ofsted to care for all ages 0-8+.
We enjoy music, cooking, gardening, football, minecraft, scrabble, painting and drawing. With the younger ones, we play in he garden a lot with water and sand. I recently did a short course on using music in the early years which has helped me to recognize and encourage musical behavior in young children. I am currently learning about how the great outdoors can assist babies (0-2) in their learning and development.
I am pleased to be able to offer following Early Years Entitlement Funding:
• Working families Expanded Funding: Currently 570 hours of childcare per year, but set to double in September 2025 to 1140 hours of childcare per year. Known as “15 hours”. This is for children older than 9 months and younger than three years before the start of the funding period. Parents/carers can apply for a working families code from the governments childcare choices website which is used to check eligibility and access the funding.
• Supported Families Funding for 2 year olds: 570 hours of childcare for children older than 2 (but younger than 3) before the start of the funding period. No working families code is required. Application is through the council.
• Universal Funding for 3 & 4 year olds: This is 570 hours of childcare per year, starting from the funding period after the child turns 3. Available to all children. "15 hours" funding.
• Working Families Extended Funding for 3 & 4 year olds: This is an additional 570 hours of childcare per year, starting from the funding period after the child turns 3. This takes the total funding to 1140 hours of childcare per year. Known as "30 hours" funding. Parents/carers can apply for a working families code from the governments childcare choices website which is used to check eligibility and access the funding.
Please note:
(1) The number of hours of funded childcare available for four year olds will depend on whether or not the child will be going to reception, or staying at an early years setting until the September after they turn five.
(2) 570 hours spread over the 38 weeks of the academic year is 15 hours per week, however, if childcare is to be used outside of term time, fewer than 15 hours of childcare will be available each week.
(3) The funding periods are:
Summer: 1st April – 31st August
Autumn: 1st September – 31st December.
Spring: 1st January – 31st March.
