My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m Olivia!
I’m a caring, friendly and reliable nanny who genuinely loves working with children and being part of their everyday lives. I enjoy creating a warm, safe and positive environment where children feel comfortable being themselves, exploring new things and building confidence.
I believe that every child is different, and I love getting to know their individual personalities, interests and little quirks. I take pride in building strong relationships with the children I care for, as well as creating a trusting relationship with parents so they feel confident and reassured while their children are in my care.
I’m a calm and organised person who enjoys being involved in all parts of family life, whether that’s supporting daily routines, planning activities, exploring outdoors or simply being there to encourage and support children as they learn and grow. I love seeing the excitement children have when they achieve something new, from their first steps and words to developing their independence and confidence.
I understand how important it is for families to have someone they can trust, which is why I always aim to provide consistent care that fits naturally into each family’s routine and values. I really enjoy forming long-lasting relationships with families and becoming a familiar, reliable and positive person in their children’s lives.
Outside of childcare, I love spending time outdoors, exploring new places, and of course spending time with animals. I have always had a love for animals and enjoy caring for them, which reflects my naturally nurturing and caring personality.
My Experience
I have over three years’ experience as a sole-charge private nanny, supporting families with children of various ages and building strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents. In addition to my nannying roles, I have experience working within private nursery settings, allowing me to combine practical childcare experience with my knowledge of early years development.
I currently provide ongoing nanny support for families, caring for children of different ages including babies, toddlers, twins, Irish twins and multiple siblings all being under five years. My current roles involve caring for children from as young as three months old, supporting daily routines, developmental milestones, activities, outings and providing consistent care tailored to each child’s individual needs. These experiences have strengthened my confidence in managing busy households, balancing the needs of multiple children and creating a calm, nurturing environment.
I am fortunate to have supported families beyond their usual routines, including travelling with families as their nanny, where I have provided reliable childcare in new environments while ensuring children feel secure and their routines are maintained. I have also built strong relationships with families who trust me to become a dependable and positive part of their children’s lives.
Throughout my childcare experience, I have cared for children from three months old through to eight years old, including babies, toddlers, twins, Irish twins and multiple children at once. I am confident managing busy days independently, ensuring each child receives individual attention, encouragement and care.
I have experience supporting children with a range of individual needs, including Autism, ADHD and behavioural challenges, adapting my approach to help each child feel understood, confident and supported. I also have experience supporting important milestones such as weaning, learning to walk, potty training, developing independence and building communication skills.
I enjoy creating engaging, meaningful experiences that support children’s learning and development, including messy play, sensory activities, creative activities, baking, outdoor adventures, visits to parks, farms, playgroups and local activities. As well as this I regularly meet up with other nannies and their children for outings, play opportunities and activities, allowing the children I care for to develop their social skills while creating a fun and engaging environment outside of the home. I use my knowledge of child development and the EYFS to plan experiences around each child’s interests, helping them learn through play in a fun and nurturing way.
I pride myself on working closely with families, respecting their routines, values and parenting styles. My aim is always to provide consistent, high-quality care while becoming a trusted and dependable part of family life.
