About Me
Hello, my name is Chantae, and I am a dedicated, nurturing and family-oriented childminder based in SE25. As both a mother and a trained childcare professional, I understand how important it is for children to feel safe, loved and genuinely cared for. My passion for childcare comes from my natural love for supporting children’s growth, building their confidence, and creating a warm environment where they feel truly at home.
I provide a caring, structured and stimulating home-from-home setting where every child is treated as an individual and encouraged to grow at their own pace. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to support learning and development through purposeful play. Children in my care enjoy a wide range of activities including sensory exploration, creative arts, outdoor play, storytelling, music, early literacy and numeracy, and child-led discovery. Every day is designed to be both fun and educational.
My home is a safe, smoke-free and welcoming environment with a secure garden for outdoor play, physical development and fresh air. I take pride in offering a clean and organised space where children feel calm and comfortable. I use positive behaviour strategies and gentle routines that help children feel secure, respected and confident in themselves.
I am fully trained and qualified with up-to-date Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, CPR, Food Hygiene and EYFS training. I continuously build on my professional development to ensure I am offering the highest standard of care. Child safety and wellbeing are always my top priorities, and I work closely with parents to ensure clear communication, trust and consistency.
One of the things that makes my setting unique is the flexibility I offer. I understand that modern family life can be busy, and parents often need childcare outside typical hours. To support working parents, I offer early morning care, after-school care, evening care and overnight childcare on selected days. I also offer emergency childcare depending on availability. My goal is to support families by providing reliable, flexible care that fits real-life needs.
I warmly welcome children with mild additional needs and always strive to create an inclusive environment where every child feels valued, understood and supported. I respect all cultures, religions and family backgrounds, and I am able to accommodate special dietary needs, allergies and cultural preferences.
Located in a convenient area with excellent transport links, my setting is easily accessible by the 249, 468, 196, 410, 75 and 157 buses, and is close to Crystal Palace and Norwood Junction stations. This makes it an ideal choice for commuting parents or families living in the South Norwood, Thornton Heath and Crystal Palace areas.
I am truly passionate about what I do. My Experience
I have several years of hands-on experience caring for children of different ages, both in my own family and through professional training and childcare roles. As a mother, I have gained real-life understanding of children’s developmental needs, emotional wellbeing, and the importance of creating a safe, loving and consistent routine. This personal experience has shaped my approach as a childminder and helps me build strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents.
Alongside my personal experience, I have completed multiple professional childcare qualifications including Paediatric First Aid, CPR, EYFS-based training, Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and courses in child development and behaviour management. I continually develop my knowledge through ongoing CPD, including modules on SEND awareness, communication development, early literacy, and supporting emotional resilience in young children.
I have practical experience creating structured daily routines, planning age-appropriate activities, and supporting children’s learning through play. I have worked closely with families to meet individual needs—such as supporting toilet training, helping with speech development, adapting to special dietary requirements, and providing flexible hours to suit working parents.
My background also includes professional training in safety and security, which enhances my awareness of risk management, safeguarding responsibilities and maintaining a safe environment at all times. This additional experience strengthens my ability to respond calmly and confidently in any situation.
Through both my personal journey and professional development, I have built strong childcare skills, patience, and a nurturing approach that helps children feel safe, confident and excited to learn. I am committed to offering a high standard of care and supporting each child’s growth with kindness, understanding and reliability.
My Qualifications
1.EYFS Child Care: I am trained in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which provides me with the knowledge to support the development of children from birth to age five. This training allows me to create an environment that nurtures their growth, learning, and well-being through age-appropriate activities, both educational and recreational.
2.Safeguarding: I am fully trained in safeguarding children, which ensures that I can recognize and respond appropriately to any potential signs of abuse or neglect. My understanding of safeguarding procedures means I am equipped to protect children in my care and ensure that they are always in a safe and secure environment.
3.Pediatric First Aid Certified: I am certified in First Aid, which ensures I am prepared to handle any medical emergencies that may arise. Whether it's administering first aid for minor injuries or knowing how to respond to a more serious situation, I am committed to the well-being of every child in my care.
4. Healthcare Assistant Experience: In addition to my childcare qualifications, I also have experience as a Healthcare Assistant, which has further strengthened my ability to handle various health-related situations. This role has given me practical knowledge of basic health monitoring, assisting with medical needs, and offering care to individuals with diverse health conditions. My healthcare training allows me to provide a higher level of care for children with special health needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.

- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour

Standard Care
£9.00 per hour
Includes learning activities, EYFS development, daily updates, outdoor play and a home-from-home environment.
Full Day Care (7am–7pm)
Full Day Care: £90 per day (up to 10 hours)
Additional hours charged at £9 per hour.
Perfect for full-time working parents needing extended hours and flexibility.
After-School Care (school collection to 7pm)
£20 per session
Includes school pick-up, healthy snack, homework support and structured play until 7pm.
Evening Care (after 7pm)
£10 per hour
