About Me
Hi, I’m Violet, a 20 year old TA living in Brighton and working in West Sussex! I’ve always been someone with ‘big feelings’ and this translates into having so much love to give that I fill my time with people I love. When I’m not working, you’ll find me walking my dogs or spending time with my family and friends - especially when they need free childcare. I may be a little bit awkward and shy around people at first but once I’m settled I won’t stop trying to make people laugh and smile. I don’t drive (I’m aware this is important for some families) but I promise to adapt to create a fun time for your child(ren) - whatever that looks like for them :)
My Experience
Currently I’m based as a TA in a West Sussex SEND school - that I have been volunteering at since I was 14 - working with a variety of needs in children aged 6-10. On a daily basis, I practice makaton and the use of PECs and Aided Language Boards. I am comfortable performing personal care needs. We often take the children out into the wider community of trips so I am experienced in keeping children safe in public. While my class are aged year 2-4, I have experience with children and young people from infancy to 19, through a combination of work and personal life. This has included working with individuals diagnosed with ASC, ADHD, Global Development Delay, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy and many other developmental, genetic, physical and/or medical needs.
My Qualifications
Whilst in education, I gained all relevant maths and english qualifications along with A levels in psychology, sociology and health & social care. Since starting at my SEND school, I have completed a long list of trainings and am still actively receiving 3 hours of training a week relevant to my role. This has included FAA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work, moving and handling and behaviour management
My Availability
Due to my work, I am only available late evenings during the week. Typically, I have plans on weekends but majority are flexible. During school holidays, it is highly likely I will have full availability:)

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.50 per hour
Like most brits, I hate talking money, and since this is more of a passion than just a job for me, I am open to discussing rates and being flexible to find what works and is needed for individual families, as it may be more appropriate to increase/lower rates depending on needs (such as personal care, moving and handling, etc)
