I’m a calm, kind, and caring person who is passionate about helping children grow in confidence through patient, supportive learning. I believe in making lessons active and engaging, creating a space where children feel safe to explore, ask questions, and enjoy learning at their own pace. Outside of tutoring, I love staying active — whether it’s running, playing netball, hitting the gym, or exploring new places when I travel. I also enjoy winding down with a good book. My Experience
With 7 years of experience in primary education, I hold a BA (Hons) in Primary Education (7-11) and have worked across both KS1 and KS2. In KS2, I’ve spent 4 years teaching the national curriculum, while in KS1, I’ve spent 2 years specializing in phonics and other foundational subjects. I’ve had the privilege of working in schools, where I’ve seen firsthand the growth in children’s academic abilities and confidence. One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been receiving positive feedback from parents, especially noting how their children’s confidence has flourished under my guidance. I am passionate about fostering a love of learning in each child and creating a supportive, engaging environment where they can thrive.
My Qualifications
I hold a 2:1 degree in Primary Education (7-11) from 2018, equipping me with a strong foundation in teaching and supporting children through their primary education journey. I have received training in phonics, which enhances my ability to support young learners in their reading and literacy development. I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly take part in courses to stay up to date with the latest educational practices and teaching strategies. This ensures that I bring the most current knowledge and effective techniques to my tutoring sessions, helping students reach their full potential.
