About Me
Welcome to Holly's Hive Childminding – where little minds grow and thrive!
Hi, my name is Holly and I am currently in the process of registering with Ofsted and aim to be fully registered by September 2025.
My home is conveniently located just off Firwood Park in Chadderton, on a quiet and peaceful road. We offer both a private driveway and off-road parking for added convenience. The setting includes a spacious, well-equipped playroom, as well as a separate toilet and dedicated sleeping area designed specifically for children’s comfort and needs.
Outside, we have a secure, fenced garden where children can play safely. Additionally, we are close to a local park and have access to a variety of playgroups, providing plenty of opportunities for social interaction and outdoor fun.
I provide a term-time only childcare service, with holidays shared in advance.
Funded places are available for children aged 9 months, 2, 3, and 4 years. I also accept student childcare grants and Tax-Free Childcare.
My journey into childcare has been shaped by both my personal and professional experiences. I’m a proud mum of three wonderful girls, aged 3, 7, and 9, and I’ve always been passionate about helping children grow, learn, and feel supported.
I began my career as a Teaching Assistant and then a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant, which inspired me to take my passion further. I completed a BA Honours degree in Special Needs Education, deepening my understanding of inclusivity and the importance of adapting to each child’s unique needs. After that, I achieved my Qualified Teacher Status and spent four years teaching in the classroom.
After having my youngest, I joined my sister in her childminding business and I found a real sense of purpose. Being part of a setting that felt like a second home for the children, where care and learning happened hand in hand, was truly inspiring. That experience rekindled my love for early years development and encouraged me to begin my own childminding journey—and so, Holly’s Hive was born!
At Holly’s Hive, I bring together my professional knowledge, hands-on experience, and mother’s heart to create a caring, stimulating environment. I’m passionate about nurturing each child’s individuality and helping them thrive through play, exploration, and emotional support. This is more than childcare—it's a place where little minds grow with confidence, joy, and love.
I provide a nurturing, home-from-home environment that supports your child’s development. This provides a calm and stimulating environment where little ones feel valued and supported every step of the way. With a focus on early years learning and emotional wellbeing, I ensure every child feels safe, loved, and inspired to grow at their own pace. Whether it’s discovering nature, making new friends, or mastering new skills, Holly’s Hive is a place where your little one will truly thrive.
Our curriculum at Holly’s Hive is built around the EYFS framework tailored to our children’s interests, needs, and next steps. I plan a balance of child-led play and adult-guided learning to ensure depth and progression over time. Our curriculum is broad, inclusive, and play-based, enriched with seasonal themes, real-life experiences, and cultural celebrations. My aim is for children to leave me as confident, curious, and ready for their next stage of learning."

My Experience
With a strong foundation in early years education and a passion for nurturing young minds, I am now taking the next step in my career by becoming a registered childminder. I bring a wealth of both professional and personal experience that has prepared me well for this role.
I hold all the relevant qualifications in early childhood care and education, and I have spent several years working in early years settings, including as a teacher. This has equipped me with a deep understanding of child development, safeguarding practices, and the importance of creating a stimulating, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have worked as a childminder assistant, where I supported the day-to-day care of children from a variety of backgrounds. This hands-on role has given me insight into the unique rewards and responsibilities of home-based childcare and helped me develop close, trusting relationships with both children and families.
