Hi, I'm Thelma. I'm a registered community nurse currently on a career break. I live in Long Eaton and am married to my husband Oliver.
Our youngest, Elijah, is our energetic, cheeky, beautiful little boy, who's soon to be five years old. Eli was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder with high support needs in April 2025, so we're looking for a nanny (preferably long-term) with SEN experience to help provide care.
Eli currently attends a small SENs unit with a mainstream primary school setting, with a view to attending a SENs School full-time next year.
Happy to negotiate hours depending on availability and rates, etc.

Part-time support worker / carer for autistic child
We are a warm, loving family seeking a calm, reliable, and physically capable support worker to help care for our 5½-year-old son, who is autistic (ASD Level 3).
Our son is bright, affectionate, energetic, and strong for his age. He thrives with adults who are patient, steady, playful, and confident, and who understand neurodivergent children.
To help support us, we are looking for someone who can help with:
* Supervised play and engagement
* Providing calm structure and routine
* Supporting regulation during high-energy moments
* Giving parents short periods of respite at home or locally
About you:
* Experienced with autistic children or children with additional needs (professional or lived experience)
* Calm, grounded, and confident manner
* Physically able to keep up with an active child
* Kind, patient, and non-judgemental
* Happy to work with parents in a family setting
Details:
* Part-time hours (to be agreed)
* Flexible scheduling
* Competitive hourly rate depending on experience
* DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one)
