My Summary
About Me
Hello, I’m Phoebe, I would describe my self and warm, reliable and down to earth. I am currently based near Tunbridge Wells.
I have experience working with children from babies to early primary age, both in home settings and schools. I’ve worked as a Teaching Assistant, provided one-to-one care for a child with additional needs, and regularly care for my baby niece. I’m confident with all aspects of daily care — including feeding, nappies, nap routines, weaning, and planning fun, age-appropriate activities to support learning through play.
I love being outdoors with little ones (whatever the weather allows!) and enjoy reading stories, learning through play, crafts, and anything that encourages confidence and curiosity. I also love to cook and baking so I’m more then happy to prepare fresh, healthy meals for children — and for the family too, if needed.
I’m looking for a kind, welcoming family where I can offer dependable support, build a long-term bond with the children, and become a helpful part of family life. I'm available for full-time, live-out roles and am flexible on hours and days for the right fit.
Please feel free to get in touch, I’d love to hear more about your family and how I can help.
My Experience
I have over three years of experience working with children from infancy to early school age, both in home-based and educational settings.
I began as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school, where I supported children across a range of subjects and helped with one-to-one and small group activities. This role taught me how to build trust with children, adapt to different learning styles, and create a calm, positive environment where children can thrive.
Alongside this, I’ve worked as a private carer for a young child with additional needs, providing consistent support with routines, play, and emotional development.
I also regularly care for my baby niece, so I’m confident with nappies, bottle feeds, weaning, nap routines, and all the day-to-day care that comes with supporting little ones. I love planning fun, engaging activities such as sensory play, story time, garden games, and messy crafts — anything that encourages children to explore and learn through play.
I’m confident looking after more than one child, and I’m happy to support with housework and healthy home-cooked meals. My approach is calm, kind, and reliable, and I take pride in building strong, supportive relationships with the families I work with.
