Childminder in Tadley
My Summary
About Me
Calling all messy play lovers, bookworms, budding scientists, and Disney fans!
I’m passionate about creating a fun, nurturing, and educational home-from-home environment where Tadley’s under-5s can learn, explore, interact, and truly be themselves.
At my home nursery, providing a calm, safe, happy, and secure space is always my top priority. I can’t wait to welcome new little explorers and support them as they grow, play, and discover the world around them.
As a mummy myself, I understand just how important it is for parents to feel confident and supported. I offer a trustworthy, understanding, happy, and flexible approach because every child and family is unique.
My Experience
I have over eight years of experience working with children with a wide range of needs. My career began in a school setting, where I worked closely with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I then went on to work as a nanny for seven years with the same family, further developing my skills and building strong, trusted relationships. During this role, I continued to gain valuable experience supporting children with SEND.
Throughout these roles, I have completed a number of childcare and professional development courses to deepen my understanding of children’s mental health, safeguarding, autism, ADHD, and behaviour that can be challenging.
In 2016, I spent four months in Africa volunteering across schools, nurseries, and orphanages, supporting teaching and childcare. During this time, I also worked within hospitals, assisting with research into tropical diseases, supporting children’s wards, and gaining invaluable experience in maternity care.
In 2023, I became a mother myself, an experience that has been my greatest achievement to date and one that has further enriched my understanding of child development, care, and family life.
