About Me
I am a 25 year newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist from Dublin with an interest to care for children. I have been babysitting for years and I also have experience tutoring music whilst obtaining my music degree prior to commencing my masters in Speech and Language Therapy in London. Although I am now a Qualified Speech and Language Therapist, I have always enjoyed child minding. Therefore, I have an interest in babysitting in the evenings and weekends, outside of my hospital setting day job. I live in central London. I am a very kind caring and flexile person and I am happy to look after children of various age groups, and support with additional responsibilities including supervising children with their homework/studying and assisting children with music practice.
My Experience
I successfully completed my Bachelor of Music degree from Trinity College Dublin and my Masters degree in Speech and Language Therapy from University College London (UCL).
Throughout my clinical placements during my masters at UCL, I gained an extensive amount of experience working with children. Placement settings in London included; an early year’s clinic; a primary school language unit; a stammering clinic; an outpatient hospital for adults; and the adult acute setting at Whittington Hospital. Each of these experiences enabled me to develop transferable skills which are relevant when caring for children.
I was appointed Cinnire (Leader) in 2017 and Árd Cinnire (Senior Leader) in 2018 at a
children’s Irish language residential summer college in the West of Ireland. As
house leader for a group of fifteen children I was responsible for their safety and wellbeing at all times. In the broader college, I taught the Irish language and grammar as well as arranged various group initiatives. I led the music and drama activities culminating in putting on a show for the parents at the end of each course. As a leader at a residential Irish language college, I set up a special class for children who were struggling with their learning.
Through my work across my clinical placements, as a leader of a children’s choir and my one to one music teaching, I have the ability to work with children of various needs and abilities. Therefore, when caring for children I tailor my approach to match unique needs so I can encourage and nurture each individual child.
I volunteered at Beechwood Children's Choir throughout my teenage years and into my twenties. I have assisted the Choir Director in a children’s choir. I was appointed as choir leader which involves teaching the children songs and managing their performances.

My Availability
As I work as a Speech and Language Therapist in a Hospital setting Monday to Friday, I am free to babysit after work from 5.30 onwards and in the evenings. I also have availability to babysit during the weekends.
