About Me
We are a warm, welcoming family looking for a calm, patient, and energetic nanny to support our 6-year-old daughter, who is autistic and non-verbal. Our daughter communicates in non-verbal ways and benefits from adults who are observant, intuitive, and responsive to her cues. My Requirements
We’re looking for a nanny who can build a strong, trusting relationship with her, beginning within our home to help her feel secure, and gradually supporting her to access more activities in the community. You’ll need to be confident supporting her 1:1, including during moments of emotional dysregulation or sensory overload, and able to respond with patience and consistency.
This role includes supporting her with personal care, helping her to communicate using agreed tools (such as visuals or gestures), and following strategies developed with us and other professionals to help her feel calm and engaged.
