About Me
I am a New Zealand trained primary school teacher, with a certified DBS, who has recently completed a year of SEND teaching in the UK, and am looking for my next opportunity to nurture and care for children outside of the classroom. I value creating a safe, consistent and engaging environment based on needs. Being a teacher, I am patient, organised and like to develop new and creative activities for children. I hope to bring reliability, warmth and a genuine love for children with every family I work with.
My Experience
I have taught 4 years in mainstream primary schools in both NZ and the UK. I have just completed a year of teaching in an additionally resourced SEND base school, working with students with ASD, ADHD and MLD. Additionally, throughout university I nannied a young boy with ASD for 3 summer holiday periods. I have a background in psychology, also working in a Child Psychology lab for 2 years alongside my studies.
My Qualifications
I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Primary).
My Availability
I am available all of August and then from September onwards 2-3 days weekly.
