My Summary
About Me
I am a warm, kind, and compassionate CACHE NVQ Level 3 Early Years Practitioner. I have 13 years of experience in childcare. This includes 7 years providing professional childcare and education for ten children and babies between the ages of eight weeks months to 5 years old. This was in an Early years child-minding setting rated ‘Outstanding' twice by Ofsted. I am experienced in caring for infants and toddlers.
I genuinely love to provide a nurturing and caring childcare, devoting one to one care for children in their own home. I foster an environment for babies and children that is safe and secure, gentle and child-led. This enables babies and children to achieve their key milestones.
I genuinely enjoy planning activities that are, stimulating and that meet the individual needs of each child and their development. I achieve this through imagination and creativity, observing and planning. I believe that children develop through outdoor play as well as child-initiated play along with sensory activities for brain development.
I am experienced in providing all nanny duties, this includes collecting children from school, helping with homework, supporting children with bedtime routines, preparing and sterilising bottles, preparing homemade nutritious food and planning activities.
Comfortable working in either a sole charge nanny position or shared care nanny role working alongside parents.
Fully flexible to work late and to provide babysitting duties. I am willing to travel with families when required and provide proxy parenting.
My nanny approach is warm, intelligent, compassionate and kind. I apply the Montessori approach towards supporting children and I encourage the emotional wellbeing of all children. I ensure that the welfare of children is paramount. I enjoy creating an environment that is warm, loving, and secure for children to thrive in.
I understand the importance of children learning through the behaviour that they observe from the people around them. I always role model good behaviour and excellent manners.
My experience also includes working for the NHS. The skills that I learnt from working for the NHS are transferable to those of working with children and families. These are safeguarding children and ensuring that the welfare of children is paramount. Confidentiality and being discreet. Excellent communication skills.
My hobbies include cooking and baking, going for long walks, travelling and meditation.
