About Me

Hi, my name is Amy. I am passionate about learning and enjoy helping children overcome their difficulties. In my work I strive to find out what an individuals needs are, where are the gaps in knowledge and learning and work to discover and implement a fun and engaging way of learning which best suits the individual. I am a fluent french speaker and am excited to be able to support students in prepearing for French GCSE or A level.

My Experience

I have worked in Early Years and Primary education settings for 13+ years in both whole class environments and on a 1:1 basis. I have a wide range of experience in supporting children with additional needs and behavioural challenges and have an extensive and broad range of strategies and tools to draw upon in supporting children. I have worked closely with children in key stage 1 to prepare for the phonics screening checks with a highly effective outcome.

Amazing tutor with great knowledge and patience

We have been using Amy for months now and the progress is amazing. My child looks forward and wants t to go his weekly sessions. Learning is made enjoyable and homework is fun and engaging.
I can see the confidence return in his reading. Each week is highly praised and encouraged.
I can not recommend Amy enough.
A kind professional and nurturing tutor.
