About Me
I am very experienced in teaching children in reading, writing and maths who are working up to Year 3 level (even if they may be older than this). I am very good at building relationships with children and work hard to find the best way to teach each child. I have an enhanced DBS which is registered with the DBS Update Service.
My Experience
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with over 30 years’ experience of teaching in Manchester primary schools (including 20 years as an assistant head). For the past 4 years, I have been working as a specialist reading teacher, teaching children who find learning to read very challenging. I am experienced in teaching children who are new to English and in working with children with additional needs and disabilities, including dyslexia (I have completed specialist training with Dyslexia Action).

BA Hons in Sociology and French 2:1
PGCE in Primary Education
