About Me
We’re a relaxed, creative West London family looking for a reliable, kind, and spirited After School Nanny to help care for our bright and sociable 9-year-old daughter as she enters Year 5. This is an important year for us, as she begins preparing for 11+ entrance exams in Year 6, so we’re looking for a homework hero—someone who can keep things fun, while still encouraging good habits, focus, and academic confidence.
You’ll be joining a warm and supportive family who genuinely value the role a great nanny plays. We want someone we can trust and rely on, and in return we offer open communication, respect for your time and talents, and a happy home to work in.
Our daughter is bright, thoughtful, funny and full of ideas. She’ll enjoy your company—as long as you keep up with her love of books, art, gardening and a bit of silliness.

Hours:
Term time: Monday–Friday, 4:00–7:30 PM
School holidays: Up to full-time hours (with flexibility for family holidays and occasional holiday camps)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Holiday: 20 days paid leave + bank holidays
? The Role Includes:
- School pickup and after-school care (local school, walking distance)
- Homework supervision and encouragement – fluent English (spoken and written) essential
- Preparing healthy, home-cooked dinners and snacks for the week (ideally homemade)
- Keeping her school bag packed, homework and reading books organised
- Helping source or prepare costumes/items for school events and themed days
- Light tidying to keep her spaces neat and calm (we have a cleaner for deep cleaning)
- Engaging her in games, reading, crafts or active play rather than screen time
? We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Is dependable, punctual and proactive
- Speaks and writes fluent English
- Has the confidence to supervise homework and ensure it’s done properly
- Loves spending time with children – creative, calm but firm when needed
- Can commit for at least a year
- Is confident in the kitchen (nutritious but simple meals, batch snacks welcome)
- Understands how to set boundaries kindly and help a child thrive
- Is happy to occasionally help plan holiday activities or accompany to camps
