About Me
I'm a mum of two lovely little children with a very busy job, that's growing busier. ***IMPORTANT: We have a small, lazy grey whippet and possibly have a little ginger baby girl cat incoming***
My Requirements
I am looking for someone that would be interested in part-time nannying for me, starting three days per week and possibly doing a little more when needed. My kids both love their respective childminders, but when my work gets busy, I just can't get the coverage. My husband and I both travel for work on occasion, and I have to switch around my two days in the office and sometimes go in more during busy periods. I also like our house to be moderately tidy and our clothes to be clean, but it's quite a challenge to keep it up while working.
After an initial search, I think there is two roles here:
I would like a Nanny from 9am-6pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday for my son (2 years old), and after school for my daughter (6 years old). In quieter times at work, I would like to be able to be with the children after school wherever possible, so this would be an opportunity for meal prep and planning, activity planning and nursery duties (tidying and organising children's spaces, children's washing, ironing and putting their clothes away). The only household duties in this role would things like be putting breakfast and lunch items in the dishwasher and running it and wiping down the counters after work.
Separately, I am looking for someone Tuesday and Thursdays for around 3 hours (3pm-6pm) a day to help with housekeeper duties. I do not envisage this being tasks like cleaning bathrooms, kitchens or mopping floors (I have a cleaner for three hours a week currently), but instead tidying and organising the home, creating systems, making dinners for the family, washing, ironing and hoovering. Ideally the person would be organised and flexible, and be trusted to collect my daughter and have her from 5pm-6pm on days where I have to go into work unexpectedly (I am usually finished by 5pm latest on these days). If someone was happy to clean as well, this could be 9 hours a week instead.
If there was someone happy to do both, that would be ideal as I am very flexible and it would feel good to have a teammate who covers the responsibilities I have at home when I can't so we can work together, but I understand after speaking to a number of candidates that most childcare professionals want to do childcare only, so I have rearranged the role into two parts.
