About Me
Hello everyone, I'm Becky Taylor and I have been an Ofsted registered Childminder since 2016. I have received two "Outstanding" grades from Ofsted since Childminding, the most recent in August 2024. My childminding setting run from my home in the Trendlewood area of Nailsea; close to Golden Valley Playing Fields and Nowhere woods, where I live with my husband and two grown up children. As an Early Years Practitioner and a parent who has worked full time, I understand how daunting returning to work and choosing the right care for your child can be. I will work together in close partnership with you before and throughout your child's time with me to create a nurturing environment where they can thrive at every stage of their early development.
I understand that early childhood is a precious time; that is why I will make every effort to ensure your child reaches their full potential through an environment centred on their happiness, security, and the right to be understood as an individual, as well as giving time and opportunity to develop as a creative competent learner.
My Experience
I have 30 years’ experience working with children. I am a qualified Early Years Practitioner with a First-Class Honours Degree in Early Years Education. My experience ranges from 0-12 years of age in a variety of settings, including, a baby unit, private nursery, family unit, infant school, managing a pre-school and in a nursery class attached to a primary school and of course being a mum to three daughters now 25, 23 and 20.
It is through this experience; I believe that children’s learning starts from birth, and they are strong capable learners. I believe that through play children develop their own theories so they can make sense of their world. To nurture the interest and personality of each child and meet their individual needs through the Early Years Curriculum; I will support children’s natural curiosity by providing a wide range of experiences, both in my homely setting and in the natural surroundings of our community and further afield. Whether it’s a nature walk, a trip to the library, farm, aquarium, or exploring museums and cultural spaces, I ensure children gain real-world experiences that support their holistic development and help them make sense of the world.
