Hi! My name is Jocelyn, but everyone calls me Jossie. I’m 21 years old and recently graduated from university with a degree in Ecology and Conservation. I’ve always loved being outdoors, and I enjoy sharing that passion with children through nature walks, outdoor play, and helping them explore the world around them.
I’m also very creative and love all things art; from painting and modelling to fun craft activities. Music is another big part of my life; I play the flute and have been part of two orchestras in Brighton over the past three years.

My Experience
I have six months of professional experience as a Nursery Assistant with RME Consultants in East Sussex, where I supported children’s daily routines, play, and learning in a caring and safe environment.
Alongside this, I’ve volunteered with Gwent Wildlife Trust at children’s events, leading nature-based activities such as pond dipping, bird watching, and crafts — combining my love for the outdoors with inspiring curiosity in young minds.
I also have personal experience babysitting and supporting children with additional needs. Through my cousin, who has autism, and my close friends who are deaf, I’ve learned how to be patient, adaptable, and inclusive. I’m currently learning British Sign Language (BSL) to better support communication and accessibility.
My Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology and Conservation – developed strong organisational skills, patience, and the ability to communicate clearly when explaining complex ideas in an engaging way.
A Levels in English Literature, Biology, and Chemistry – showcasing both creativity and a strong academic foundation.
GCSEs in a full range of subjects.
Music: Grade 8 Flute and Grade 5 Piano – demonstrating dedication, discipline, and creativity.
Enhanced DBS Check – valid and up to date, ensuring children’s safety and security.
