About Me
My name is Lorelle, I am 30 years of age. I am currently working at Great Ormond Street Nursery where I am currently doing full time work from Mon - Fri. I have been working in childcare for the last 5/6 years. I enjoy working in childcare and occasionally on weekends I babysit either my family members or a child from my nursery. I am currently looking to become a full time nanny and leave my current job. I have worked with various age groups from 6months to 4 years. I enjoy what I do and helping the children to grow and learn new things.
My Experience
I have worked as a nanny for the last 5 Years. I was with one family member since 2017 and enjoyed working for them. I am still based with that family but I do occasionally babysitting for them, when required.
I babysit one of the children from my previous job occasionally, when required by the family.
My Responsibilities are:
? preparing healthy dinners/snack time (taking accountability of child’s allergies)
? arranging outings to the park, library, zoos or amusement parks (widen their experience)
? engaging child in entertaining & educational activities e.g. painting, Drawing , play dough, cutting and sticking, puzzles, learning letters and numbers (help children learn through play)
? completing homework
? Feed, bath, dress children and change their nappies or supporting with toilet training
? teaching basic social skills and hygiene
? preparing them for sleep time and naps
? school runs
? provide a safe setting for the child
? organise play opportunities to help children mix with others
? tidy up and clean rooms used by the children
? keep records for the family
? encouraging children’s development using creative play, reading and storytelling
? cooking with and for the children, providing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks
? taking the children to and from nursery or school
? observing the children’s progress
? working with parents and carers to support their child’s ongoing learning and development
? safeguarding the children and ensuring their welfare

• NCFE CACHE LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA FOR THE EARLY YEARS WORKFORCE (EARLY YEARS EDUCATOR) October 2019
• Paediatric First Aid - February 2024
• NSPCC learning - July 2021
• Level 2 Food Hygiene And Safety For Catering May 2022
• Behaviour (Interactions and engagement) Early Years Quality Support and Training April 2024
