My Requirements

Childcare Support Required (Including Additional Needs Experience)

We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and compassionate individual to support our family in the lead-up to and during a wedding in the coming weeks. This will be a temporary role with potential for additional support days as needed.

Schedule:
• Days: Primarily Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and occasionally Mondays
• One week in August will require daily availability
• Evening availability is essential during event days

About the Children:
• We have two daughters:
• A 2-year-old
• A 9-month-old with complex additional needs

More about our 9-month-old:
• She is NG tube fed (nasogastric tube)
• Has severe eczema and is often in special wraps/dressings or a swaddle to prevent skin damage
• Requires constant supervision (1:1) to prevent scratching, which can result in infection and hospitalisation
• Needs regular medication and creams applied
• Care can be intensive, and the right candidate must be patient, vigilant, and calm under pressure

Responsibilities:
• Feeding both children (including NG tube feeding for the 9-month-old – full training will be provided by myself or her nurse)
• Nappy changes and general care
• Administering creams and medication as needed
• Preventing the 9-month-old from scratching or damaging her skin
• Keeping the children occupied and safe, especially during evening events
• Supporting us during daytime preparations and event evenings

Requirements:
• Must be DBS checked
• Preferably Ofsted registered
• Experience with additional needs (especially with NG tube feeding, eczema, or similar conditions) is highly desirable
• References will be required
• Must be willing to undergo training prior to starting
• Must be available to start imminently
