About Me
I am a qualified Early Years teacher. I am located in High Town, Luton, close to the train station and town centre. I provide care and education inspired the arts and outdoor learning. I am currently renovating my garden to create a safe, exciting, child-centred environment that supports physical and sensory development. I have experience and training in SEND/neuro-affirming practices. I follow a child-led curriculum incorporating a balance of child and adult led activities. I make weekly trips to local groups offered by the library and culture trust. I love utilising the local parks, playgrounds, woods, museums and libraries.
My Experience
I have 15 years experience working with children and families in primary schools and nurseries. I began babysitting very young children from the age of 13. I have worked in Brighton, London, Luton and Bedfordshire. I have experience of working with a wide variety of families from different backgrounds, beliefs and needs. I believe in working with a neurodiverse affirming ethos and resources. I support children's physical and mental development by providing nutritionally rich meal options and embedding healthy lifestyle habits. I am continuously updating my own professional development through educational courses and reading.
My Qualifications
I am an Early Years Teacher (QTS) with a degree in the arts BA (Hons). I am a registered with an Ofsted registered childminding agency. Working with an agency means that my setting is inspected once year rather than every four years. I have had training in safeguarding, prevent, FGM, SEND/neuro-affirming practice, forest school, ‘Chamber tots’ music course, clay work, early years mental health.
My Availability
I do not currently have any availability.
I provide care Mondays to Thursdays (8am to 5pm). Please feel free to get in touch for a chat or to arrange play date to meet face-to-face. The settling in period is really important for your child (and you!) to ensure they feel safe and happy, this can take between two to four weeks.
My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
I accept funded hours.
