About Me
I create a safe, nurturing space where children feel comfortable, supported, and confident to explore and express themselves. Whether a child is upset, tired, or having a big emotion, I stay calm and offer comfort and reassurance, helping them to regulate and feel secure. I’m also very crafty, and I love getting creative with the children! I enjoy planning messy play, arts and crafts, and sensory activities using everyday materials. These activities not only support their creativity and fine motor development but also encourage imagination and self-expression. Another strength of mine is being tidy and organised. I keep the learning environment clean, safe, and well-organised so that children can explore independently without unnecessary risks or distractions. I also ensure resources are well-prepared and that routines run smoothly, helping the day feel calm and predictable for the children.
My Experience
Whilst looking after multiple children aged 1-3 years, my responsibilities included planning and supporting the daily care, learning, and development of every child. My main roles were providing personal care such as nappy changing and feeding, planning and delivering age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework, and supporting any transitions children may have been experiencing. I’ve gained practical experience in both a school nursery and a private day nursery, where I’ve really enjoyed supporting children through play, learning, and daily routines. In the future, I hope to continue developing my skills and eventually become a qualified early years practitioner or a qualified children’s nurse. I’m passionate about helping young children grow and learn in safe, happy environments, and I’m excited to see where this career path takes me.
My Qualifications
I started my journey by studying one year of Health and Social Care in college, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding how to support people’s needs. I then moved on to a two-year T Level in Education and Childcare, which I’m currently working towards and have completed my first year. I have also achieved multiple GCSE’s with grades ranging from 4 to 7.
