We are Kelly and Hannah, two qualified teachers with a combined 18 years of experience in EYFS and primary education. As mums ourselves, we understand just how important it is to find a setting that feels like a second home, a setting that is safe, stimulating, and full of joy.
Our unique Disney-inspired curriculum brings magic into everyday learning, blending imagination with key areas of development in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework. We focus on child-led learning, school readiness, and holistic development to support each child’s individual interests, well-being, and progress.
With an emphasis on communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, and early literacy and numeracy, our setting is a place where children build strong foundations through purposeful play, exploration, and creativity.
We offer a loving, home-from-home environment where every child is seen, heard, and celebrated. From sensory play to storytelling, outdoor adventures to phonics fun, we aim to inspire confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
My Experience
Between us, we bring 18 years of teaching experience across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, giving us a deep understanding of child development from the early years right through primary school. This means we know exactly how to support children’s learning at every stage, especially in those all-important formative years.
As mums to two lively 3-year-olds, we also understand the emotional side of choosing childcare. We’ve been in your shoes, and that’s why we’ve created a setting rooted in trust, communication, and genuine care.
Our experience has shaped a clear, child-focused vision for our setting, a vision that balances structure with play, learning with laughter, and individual attention with group interaction. We know how to spot and nurture each child’s unique interests and abilities, and we work to support early language, social skills, emotional wellbeing, and school readiness in a warm, homely environment.
With our combined backgrounds, we’re confident in delivering the very best start for your child and laying the foundations for a happy, confident, and curious learner.

After a difficult experience in another setting and needing to move our little boy desperately, finding Kelly and Hannah was the biggest blessing we have ever had. To say our little boy loves going here would be an understatement. The experiences, curriculum, love and attention provided to the children every single day is beyond words. Our son has came on unbelievable amounts since starting here, we will forever be grateful to have found you both!

It’s hard to put into words how incredible Kelly and Hannah are at their job, and how perfect of a setting they have created!! Me and my partner were very hesitant about putting our daughter into childcare, however when viewing Kelly and Hannah’s environment our daughter instantly bonded with them both with their calming but bubbly nature. Everytime we pick her up she has a smile ear to ear, and she is so excited to tell us all the fun things she had done, and places they have been too each day. I honestly cannot recommend, and thank Kelly& Hannah enough for caring and looking after our girl like she’s one of their own. Thank you <3

Once Upon a Playtime is fantastic! After a difficult experience elsewhere, we were understandably anxious about our child starting somewhere new, but those worries quickly faded. Kelly and Hannah have been incredibly kind and welcoming from the very beginning. The effort and creativity they put into planning each week is truly impressive, and we couldn’t have chosen better childminders. It’s also wonderful that our child gets to enjoy outings that tie in with the weekly themes, making the experience even more special.
