Job Description: Part-Time Nanny & Housekeeper
Location: Derby, UK

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7.00am–10:00am and 2.45pm–6pm. Additional hours will be required in school holidays.

Salary: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience

About the Role:

We are a warm, busy family based in Derby seeking an experienced and dependable Part-Time Nanny & Housekeeper to help with the care of our two young children, aged 4 and 2, and to assist with the smooth running of our home. The role involves both morning and afternoon/evening shifts, Monday to Friday, with flexibility essential, particularly during school holidays, when additional hours may be required.

A confident, calm, and capable presence is key, especially with strong-willed children who thrive on consistency and firm but loving boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:
Childcare:

- Morning routines including getting children up, dressed, breakfasted, and ready for the day.
- School and nursery drop-offs and pick-ups (driving required).
- Afternoon care including snacks, structured play, outdoor time, and support with dinner and bath routines.
- Engage children in stimulating activities appropriate for their ages.
- Confidently manage challenging behaviours with empathy, patience, and consistency.

Housekeeping:

- General tidying and organisation of the home.
- Laundry, light ironing, vacuuming, and keeping children’s rooms and play areas tidy.
- Assist with simple meal preparation and kitchen clean-up.
- Help maintain a clean and calm home environment.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Enhanced DBS check (current or willing to obtain).
- Valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate (or willingness to complete).
- Full clean UK driving licence and own reliable vehicle.
- Excellent references from previous nannying or housekeeping roles.
- Confident, nurturing, and experienced with strong-willed young children.
- Non-smoker.
- Trustworthy, punctual, and highly organised.
- Flexibility to work extra hours during school holidays or on occasion.

- Comfortable with family pets
