About Me

I always find writing an “About Me” a little difficult, as I’m much more comfortable caring for others than talking about myself!

I’m a caring and friendly mum of three with many years of experience working within care and supporting children and young people. Caring for others has always been a big part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy helping children feel happy, comfortable and safe.

Through both my professional and personal experience, I’m confident caring for children with a wide range of personalities, abilities and additional needs. I’m patient, understanding, reliable and always aim to create a relaxed environment where children can be themselves and parents can feel reassured that their children are in safe hands.

Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, cooking and trying new recipes. I’m also a huge animal lover and have three dogs called Bruce, Billy and Tilly, so I’m very comfortable babysitting in homes with pets!

I really enjoy babysitting and having the opportunity to meet some wonderful children and families. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your children, and I always treat every child I care for with the same kindness, patience and respect that I would want for my own.

My Experience

I’m an experienced Children’s Support Worker currently working for Mencap, with over seven years of experience supporting children, young people and adults across care, education and support settings.

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals with a wide range of needs, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and social, emotional and mental health needs. I also have experience supporting children who have experienced trauma and understand the importance of providing calm, patient and consistent care.

I’m First Aid trained and have professional experience managing challenging situations, supporting emotional regulation and adapting my approach to each individual child. I’m confident caring for multiple children and children with additional or complex needs.

As a mum of three myself, I understand just how much trust it takes to leave your child in someone else’s care. Safety and wellbeing will always be my priority, while making sure children feel comfortable, relaxed and have fun while their parents are away.

I’m reliable, caring, down-to-earth and very difficult to faze! I also have tattoos, piercings and sometimes colourful hair — they’re simply part of my personality and self-expression. I take my responsibilities seriously and always remain professional, respectful and dependable.

Alongside babysitting, I’m also happy to discuss pet sitting and cleaning support. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions or would like to chat about your childcare needs.

Charlotte was a wonderful babysitter. Super communicative and put my boys at ease on their first time being babysat. She was very punctual, really personable and easy to talk to. It was lovely to be able to enjoy a date night and know the kids were well looked after.
