**Job Opportunity**

We are looking to expand the care team who support our daughter who has complex care needs. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated personal assistant who can offer consistency and a high level of care. Our care package is funded by the local Care Commissioning Group and as such offers peace of mind in terms of job stability.

The right person would need to be able to work three days per week (potentially Wednesday, Thursday & Friday). The day would start at 0745 at her home where you would escort her to school on the school bus (occasionally own vehicle if needed). During the school day you would need to attend to all of her medical and personal care needs including gastrostomy feeds, tracheostomy care and continence needs. You would need to offer emotional support at times to help her to access education.

After school you would bring her home before ending your shift at 16.30.

The role is based in her home in Ramsbottom with travel to school in Radcliffe.

This role is all year round so during the school holidays you would be spending time caring for her at home as well as accessing community activities as much as possible.

Our daughter is deaf and partially sighted and has learning difficulties therefore she requires someone with understanding and experience of working with children with similar issues.

You must be an incredibly caring and patient person but absolutely full of energy and fun. Her personality is wonderful and she enjoys being out and about exploring. She loves to be read to and has a fantastic imagination.

We will provide full training by our nurse trainer and a great rate of pay. There will be opportunities to pick up additional shifts, days and nights, to cover holidays and sickness. Enhanced DBS and full driving licence essential.

This really is a lovely role and a great opportunity for someone to work 1:1 with a really special little girl who despite her medical and care needs is full of joy and mischief.

We are aiming to get someone in post during August to allow time for shadow shifts, training and competency sign off before her return to school in September.
