About Me
My name is Shamina and I am an Ofsted Registered childminder and a qualified Early Years Practitioner located in Homerton, Hackney. I have recently made the decision to become a Childminder so I can still be with my youngest daughter before she starts going to nursery.
I have excellent knowledge of child development and I am passionate about providing children with quality care. I live with my husband (who is a teacher) and 3 children. I don't have a garden, but we have fantastic outdoor areas, such as Victoria Park and Well Street common. We also have outstanding Children Centres (Wentworth and Morningside) close by that I attend regularly with my youngest daughter.
I am also passionate about nutrition and leading a healthy lifestyle. We maintain a plant-based diet, which means we try and eat a variety of plants based foods, but we still include oily fish in our menus due to the health benefits.
My Experience
I have experience working with children for the last 6 years as an Early Years Practitioner between the ages of 6 months - 5 years.

I provide a warm and inclusive environment where children feel safe and secure, allowing them to learn and thrive. Children will be taken outdoors daily which promotes good health and allows them to take risks and build confidence. I will meet children's individual needs, providing them with fun and stimulating activities. I have a collection of children books for children aged 0-5 years, that reflect the community and different abilities, sensory books and books that encourage rhymes.
I take children out on local trips to engage in real life experiences, such as trips to the farm, library, places of worship and supermarkets.

• CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
• Paediatric First aid
• Level 2 Food hygiene
• 11 GCSE'S (Including English and Maths)
