I'm 27 years old, currently studying for a MSc degree in Wildlife Conservation at ARU in Cambridge, hoping to change careers after 5 years working as a young professional in the consumer research industry. I have years of babysitting experience and was employed this summer as a Group Leader at Camp Beaumont, where I have also spent two previous summers gaining childcare experience.
My Experience
During my school and university studies I gained babysitting experience with a variety of ages from 3 - 14 and I have three summers of experience working at Camp Beaumont, leading the entertainment and care of the children in attendance. Here I gained particularly strong experience caring for children in the 3-4 and 5-7 year olds age groups. Since signing up to the Childcare UK I have been employed for the daycare of two young girls, aged 3 and 5, looking after them at home while their parents worked, which I enjoyed and would be happy to do something like this again.
My Qualifications
I am a highly responsible and organised adult, evidenced by my years of professional working experience. Despite recent years spent in the corporate world, I'm often told I have a natural affinity for working with young children and I enjoy doing so. I like being creative and would be happy to actively entertain the children with a variety of activities. I have just passed a recent DBS check and I have been driving for 9 years with no accidents, though unfortunately I don't have a car with me in Cambridge currently.
My Availability
Being a university student allows me a great deal of flexibility in my weekly timetable. I am on campus during the day on Mondays and Thursdays but can be flexible on all other days of the week.
