I'm 27 years old, currently studying for a MSc degree in Wildlife Conservation at Anglia Ruskin University, hoping to change careers after 5 years working as a young professional in the consumer research industry. I have years of babysitting experience and have spent three summers employed as a Group Leader at Camp Beaumont, gaining childcare experience. My Experience
During my school and university studies I gained babysitting experience with a variety of ages from 3 - 14 and I have three summers of experience working at Camp Beaumont, leading the entertainment and care of the children in attendance. There I gained particularly strong experience caring for children in the 3-4 and 5-7 year olds age groups. Since signing up to the Childcare UK I have been employed for the daycare of two young girls, aged 3 and 5, looking after them at home while their parents worked, which I enjoyed and would be happy to do something like this again. I have also babysat for a 2 1/2 year old and picked him up from nursery, as well as looking after a family of children 6, 9 and 13 years old during evenings.
My Qualifications
I am a highly responsible and organised adult, evidenced by my years of professional working experience. Despite recent years spent in the corporate world, I'm often told I have a natural affinity for working with young children and I enjoy doing so. I like being creative and would be happy to actively entertain the children with a variety of activities. I have passed a recent DBS check (2025) and I have been driving for 9 years with no accidents and usually have access to a car.
My Availability
Being a university student allows me a great deal of flexibility in my weekly timetable, particularly as this term I am living at home with my parents and working on my masters project with a self-determined timetable.
