My Experience

I specialise in primary Maths (Years 1–6), including 11+ preparation, SATs boosters, and support for SEN learners. I have extensive experience working across both primary and secondary schools, including secondary school maths teaching, secondary school maths interventions teacher, one-to-one tuition across Key Stages 1–4, and working at an 11+ tuition centre. I am particularly experienced in supporting children with additional needs or learning difficulties, helping them build confidence and make steady, measurable progress. I also work with children who are falling behind, as well as those who are gifted and talented.

My approach is warm, patient, and carefully tailored to each child’s unique learning style and ability level, ensuring every student achieves their full potential.

My Qualifications

I am a fully qualified teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), awarded in 2008, and I completed my NQT induction year specialising in Mathematics. To further strengthen my teaching practice, I undertook the Mathematics Development Programme for Teachers at the University of Wolverhampton — a specialist course designed to enhance Maths teaching strategies, particularly for those supporting a wide range of abilities in the classroom. This programme focused on deepening subject knowledge and refining teaching methods to make mathematical concepts accessible, engaging, and effective for all learners. I also hold a Bachelor of Philosophy (BPhil) in Community and Youth Studies, giving me a strong understanding of child development, communication, and inclusive education.

My Availability

I offer a range of flexible tuition options to suit your schedule and budget. These include weekly lessons, fortnightly lessons, school holiday intensive sessions, short-term catch-up plans, 5-lesson or 10-lesson progress packages, and school holidays pay-as-you-go sessions (subject to availability).

All packages are fully tailored to your child’s individual needs and learning style. Tuition does not have to be long term, some families choose a short, focused block of five lessons to boost confidence or prepare for an assessment, while others prefer a longer structured programme to ensure consistent progress, particularly for SATs or 11+ preparation.

Every student is offered a free trial lesson so you can feel completely confident before committing. I carefully monitor progress and am confident in the measurable improvements my students make.
