My Summary
Growing With Claire - Childminding And Early Years Care.
About Me
Hello, my name is Claire (Growing with Claire - Childminding) and I am a warm, caring and reliable Ofsted-registered childminder offering a safe, nurturing home-from-home environment where children feel happy, secure and valued. I have passed my Ofsted pre-registration and am just awaiting my certificate.
As a mum of six, I bring a wealth of real-life parenting experience alongside my work in both a mainstream school and a specialist special educational needs setting. This has given me a strong understanding of child development, inclusion and how to support each child as an individual.
My approach focuses on gentle routines, play-based learning and building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families. I provide a calm and welcoming space where children can explore, build confidence and develop at their own pace while feeling safe and cared for at all times.
I believe in close partnership with parents through open communication, consistency and mutual trust, helping every child receive the very best start.
We are a welcoming family home with friendly pets, and our daily routine may include local school runs, helping children experience real-life routines in a safe and structured way.
I would love to hear from you, so please feel free to get in touch to discuss your childcare needs or arrange a visit.
My Experience
I have a broad range of experience caring for and supporting children of different ages, abilities and needs. As a mum of six, I bring many years of hands-on parenting experience, giving me a strong understanding of children’s development, routines, behaviour and emotional wellbeing from babies through to teenagers.
Alongside my parenting experience, I have worked within a mainstream school and a specialist special educational needs setting. These roles helped me develop valuable skills in supporting children with a variety of learning styles, abilities and additional needs, while creating a calm, patient and inclusive environment where every child feels understood and valued.
I am passionate about providing nurturing, individualised care where children feel safe, happy and confident to explore, learn and grow at their own pace. I work closely with families to build strong, trusting relationships and ensure consistent, supportive care for every child.
My Qualifications
I hold all required training for childminding, including a current paediatric first aid certificate and safeguarding training, ensuring I can provide a safe and secure environment for every child in my care. I am fully insured and work in line with Ofsted requirements and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Alongside my formal training, I bring extensive practical experience as a mother of six children of different ages, giving me a strong understanding of children’s development, routines, behaviour and emotional wellbeing. I have also worked within both a mainstream school and a specialist special educational needs setting, where I developed valuable skills in supporting children with a wide range of abilities and additional needs.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly keep my knowledge up to date through training, guidance and continuous learning to ensure the highest quality of care for every child and family I support.
