Unfortunately our son’s Reception year has been badly disrupted by an absent teacher & lack of progress in terms of reading / writing. We have made the decision to change schools but are looking for some extra support for him to help him ‘catch up’ & make the transition into Year 1 less daunting. Lots of supportive / engaged parenting available for between sessions & homework but I don’t know enough about early years education to support him properly without guidance.
