My Summary
About Me
My passion for tutoring began when I helped a friend who was struggling with GCSE Chemistry. I used simple explanations and visual tools like diagrams and step-by-step breakdowns, and within weeks, they felt more confident and improved their grade. Since then, I’ve been committed to helping other students do the same.
I have over a year of experience tutoring one-to-one online. I’ve worked with students across a range of levels—GCSE Maths and Science (all major exam boards), 11+, and Key Stage 1–3. I’ve supported students working towards specific grade goals, catching up on missed content, and improving exam technique.
In lessons, I focus on what works best for each student. For example, I helped a Year 10 student move from a grade 4 to a grade 7 in GCSE Maths by focusing on past papers, targeting weak areas, and reinforcing key methods with timed questions. For a Year 6 student preparing for the 11+, I used weekly mini-assessments and memory-based games to build exam stamina and recall.
I adapt my teaching based on how each student learns. Some benefit from visual aids like mind maps and worked examples on an iPad, while others prefer verbal walkthroughs or active recall techniques. I use tools like an online whiteboard, screen sharing, and exam board-specific resources to keep lessons interactive and focused.
I’m familiar with AQA, Edexcel, OCR and IGCSE specifications, and make sure each lesson is directly linked to the syllabus and exam style.
I aim to make lessons clear, supportive, and productive—so students leave each session with real progress, better understanding, and more confidence.
