My Experience

I have a strong background in childcare that began early in my life. From the age of 9, I took on a caring role as an aunty, which sparked my passion for supporting and nurturing children. At college, I gained a childcare qualification that provided me with a solid foundation in child development and early years education.

From the age of 13, I have gained hands-on experience working with children of all ages through a variety of roles. One key role was coaching gymnastics, where I developed a strong passion for helping children improve their physical, emotional, and social skills. I focused on fostering gross and fine motor development, encouraging resilience by teaching that making mistakes is part of learning, and creating a safe and supportive environment. In addition, I volunteered in schools, assisting teachers in supporting children’s learning and development across different age groups. These experiences have helped me build strong skills in engaging children, promoting confidence, and contributing to their overall growth.

Most significantly, I worked as a nursery nurse for 5 years, where I provided high-quality care and education for young children, particularly toddlers. In this role, I supported children’s social, emotional, and educational growth, worked closely with families, and contributed to creating a nurturing, stimulating environment tailored to their developmental needs.

Together, these experiences have given me a well-rounded understanding of childcare across a range of ages, as well as strong skills in communication, patience, and child development. In addition to childcare, I am also happy to support with light housekeeping if desired, helping to create an organised and welcoming home environment.
