Hello! I’m a part-time secondary school teacher, balancing a career I love with the busy life of raising our family. My husband is a journalist, a role that brings with it unpredictable hours and the occasional last-minute trip, sometimes keeping him away for extended periods.
We have three wonderful children: a lively and curious 2-year-old boy, a creative and thoughtful 8-year-old daughter, and a bright, easygoing 12-year-old son. They’re well-behaved, full of personality, and make our home a joyful (and often very energetic) place.
Adding to the fun is our black Labrador who’s loyal, loving, and always up for a game or a cuddle.
Life in our household is busy, a bit unpredictable at times, but always full of love and laughter.
My Requirements
We’re a friendly family looking for part-time help during weekday afternoons Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday near Boston, Lincolnshire.
The main responsibility will be collecting our 8-year-old daughter from school (a 5-minute walk from our home), and occasionally picking up our 2-year-old son from the nursery just across the road. Our 12 year old makes his own way home by bus. You’ll then look after them at home until I return from work—providing a snack, a drink, and a bit of fun or downtime after their day.
Ideally, we’re also looking for someone who can come a bit earlier in the day to help with some light housework—such as tidying, ironing, or general cleaning.
Details:
Location: village outside Boston, Lincolnshire.
Days: Tuesday-Thursday (not all days required we can work around the ideal candidate)
Hours: Flexible but definitely 3-4.30pm
Start date: September
Must be kind, reliable, and good with children
Experience preferred, but personality and trustworthiness matter most!
