Hi, I’m Steph. I’m a mum to two beautiful girls (2 and under 1!) and have been working from home since having my first daughter in 2023.
I qualified as a Secondary English teacher in 2017 and have loved working with young people ever since. I am available for both in person and online private tuition. Please feel free to get in contact.
My Experience
After completing my English degree and PGCE, I qualified as a teacher in 2017 and worked full time until 2023 when I had my first daughter. Since then I have provided private tutoring, primarily for students completing their GCSEs, and been an examiner for AQA. I have also been a mentor for young people struggling with anxiety particularly around the exam period.

My Availability
I’m a stay at home mum so prefer to work in the evenings but please do get in contact and I’ll do my best to accommodate to your needs.

Having not managed to get a level 2 pass at English Language GCSE after several resits, Steph has helped prepare my 18-year old son for his latest resit. Steph has been quite flexible and has spent time working with my son, so that we are hopeful that he will now have acheived the pass (possibly even a strong pass) that he needs. Steph is friendly and approachable and was a good fit with our son. She also worked with him immediately before each of the two papers with a checklist strategy for tackling each paper.
