About Me
I’m a compassionate, reliable and positive person with over 3 years of experience working with children from the ages 4-11 years old as a learning support assistant and a 1:1 support assistant. I have completed many forms of training including safeguarding, health and safety, first aid, and behaviour management.
I have studied Level 3 Health and Social Care and achieved a distinction, distinction merit (DDM) in college and I have also studied Psychology in university with a Pass Certificate.
I’m a very friendly person and I always ensure to promote good communication. I really enjoy caring for children to the best of my ability while being creative, using play skills and showing empathy.
My Experience
I have over 3 years of experience supporting children aged 4-11 years old in a few primary schools. During this time, I’ve developed a range of skills that have allowed me to create a positive and nurturing environment for children.
I’m skilled at using play to engage them in learning and development while using positive communication and effective listening to support their needs. I’m skilled in teaching and helping them with their school work and activities, while encouraging positive behaviour in a fun, supportive way. I make sure to respect and support their choices while using creativity and my problem solving skills for motivation. By showing great empathy, I ensure that the children feel understood, valued and heard. I also am behaviour trained so I am able to show my strategies to manage behaviour effectively.
My experience has enabled me to be patient, observant, flexible, organised, creative and much more so that children have the best possible support :)
My Qualifications
I have my English, maths, health and social care GCSES
Level 3 health and social care in college with a DDM. Distinction, Distinction, Merit
Pass Certificate in Psychology- University of Westminster
