My Summary
About Me
I have a love for the outdoors and for children to make connections with their natural surroundings. I believe in every child is an individual and as such their learning is their own path. I believe in high expectations and enabling children to be the very best versions of themselves. I use kind and supportive words to support children at all times. Play is learning and through play children learn not just the curriculum but key learning skills that enable them to shine as they transition into school and adult life. I believe my role is to guide and support children to find joy and passion in what they do and to not fear failure but see it as a chance to grow and learn.
My Experience
I have over 30 years experience working and supporting Early Years classrooms and departments both in the UK and Internationally. I began my early years journey in Norway, volunteering in a Norwegian Barnehage and working in the British International School of Stavanger before moving to Scotland to gain my qualifications in Early Years. Since then I have had the privilege of working in the across the Middle East in Outstanding British School early years departments and laterally in England. I have recently supported research projects with PEDAL at Cambridge University on Risky Play and The Early Years Library a support document for Early Years Practitioners.
