Registered Childminder With Special Needs Experience Job In East Boldon
My Requirements
Seeking mothers help/ parents help/ nanny with shared care– Part Time (Parent Present)
We are looking for a calm, reliable and caring parent’s helper / nanny to support our family at home on a part-time basis.
Our 2-year-old has Dravet syndrome but is developmentally doing very well. Due to medical needs, a parent will always be at home, and the role is to support us as an extra pair of hands rather than sole childcare.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively with parents and is comfortable in a home-based, predictable routine.
Hours
2–3 half days per week
Approximately 12pm–6pm
Mainly to support after-school hours and days when my husband works late (Tuesday/Thursday)
Additional hours during school holidays would be ideal
Flexibility appreciated, but we aim to keep days consistent
The role
Engaging our 2-year-old in calm, developmentally appropriate activities (play, books, songs, simple games)
Supporting his development while I am present in the home
Helping supervise him so I can manage household tasks or support our older child after school
During nap times:
Light household tasks related to the children
Tidying and organising toys and play areas
Preparing activities for when he wakes
Supporting a calm, low-stimulation environment
Important to know
No sole charge – a parent will always be at home
No outings
No medical decision-making required
All care takes place in our home
About you
Calm, patient and reliable
Comfortable working in a parent-present role
Experience with young children (professional or personal)
Experience with additional needs or medical complexity is a bonus but not essential
A role that genuinely helps a family managing medical complexity
Please message with a brief description of your experience and confirm that you are comfortable with a parent-present role and no sole charge.
