My name is Marianne, owner of 'Marianne's Childminding Service' and I am an Ofsted registered childminder with over 20 years experience working as a fully qualified nursery nurse and nanny. I have been registered since July 2009 and was graded 'Good' for my last inspection. We have recently moved to Iberian Avenue, Wallington. My home is large, clean and I am an excellent cook. Non smoking and no pets.
We regularly visit local parks, Deen City farm, libraries and play groups. A variety of fun activities at home are also offered.
We are a small group so the children get the individual attention that they need. Children settle well due to our calm, homely environment. My own children are aged 11 and 3 years. We are a nice bunch of people seeking like-minded families.
I have worked for 5 different families as a nanny, mostly around london but also in New York. I have also gained much experience working as a supply nursery nurse. This involves working as a teaching assistant and nursery nurse at mainstream and special needs schools around south London. A variety of families have attended my childminding setting of all ages. References are available.
I qualified as a nursery nurse in 1995 with a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing. I was fortunate to receive distinctions and a student of the year certificate. My paediatric first aid certificate is up to date and I have had lots of recent training to update my skills such as Safeguarding, Working with Fathers, Reflective Practice, Supporting Children with EAL, Supporting Children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Supporting Boys Learning, Raising Developmental Concerns with Parents, Schemas, Caring for School Age Children, Online Safety, GDPR and many more.

Marianne is a wonderful child minder who I would gladly recommend to anyone. She was caring for my son from the age of 9months until nearly 4 years old and he loves her. She gave him lots of attention and he adores her. I was sad to send him to nursery but he was ready to handle a class environment.
To be a good child minder, you have to have so much patience and love what you do, which it is clear when viewing Marianne. She takes the time to know each child she cares for, ensuring she adjusts to the child's needs and caters to the parents requests. She always fed the children well and followed the plan regarding what you allowed your child to eat, providing fresh food every day. She would always tell the parent about the child's development and any concerns.
I can't thank her enough for all she has done, ensuring that my son enjoyed himself while exploring his surroundings. She did all the things I would have done with Max if I was not at work. She always took them out to places several times a week, to stay and plays, the library, the farm and the park. She has a decent sized garden which the children would play also.
Marianne has the training to help develop your child to be as expressive they will be in a safe environment. My son was never bored or complained. He always hurried to see Marianne which is a good sign of their fondness for each other.
Marianne always informed parents of how your child was doing and would work with the parent to cater to next goal which the child was able to achieve such as learning to feed himself or the hard task of potty training which she did with my son. I had no complaints with her and although it's a hard job to do each day, she always did her best.
As a parent, one of the most difficult leaps of faith to make is that of who to trust your child’s security, welfare and happiness with. Before we contacted Marianne, we tried a nursery and felt uncomfortable with the surroundings; too many children, messy, noisy and chaotic, stressed out carers etc.
Marianne’s calm and friendly demeanor instantly put us at ease, as we could see how our toddler would appreciate the relaxed, easy-going atmosphere in her cosy house. She keeps the numbers of children she looks after very small, so that she can provide close attention, encourage play and create a bond. Our son settled in very quickly, enjoying his time spent there.
I write this recommendation without any hesitation what-so-ever. Marianne exceeded our expectations and we believe she is a wonderful childminder. All her food is home-cooked with fresh ingredients. Communication, punctuality, attention to detail and warmth all at a very high standard.
