My Experience

I have over six years of experience caring for children aged 2–15 through babysitting, volunteer teaching, and most recently as an Instructor for Fife Council’s multi-sports and games classes. In that role, I supported children aged 5–12 in a safe, fun environment, encouraging them to explore their passions—whether football, hockey, drama games, or crafts.

I particularly enjoy working with families on a long-term basis and watching children grow over time. My childcare style is warm, patient, and consistent, with a balance of fun and structure. I believe in encouraging independence, creativity, and confidence, while also supporting routines like homework, reading, and responsibilities.

I am paediatric first aid trained and experienced in adapting care to each child’s needs, including children with additional or high needs. I am confident managing groups, balancing different personalities, and ensuring every child feels secure and included.

In my babysitting roles, activities have ranged from play parks, soft plays, and beach trips to crafts, sports, homework help, and bedtime routines. I am also happy to prepare healthy, child-friendly meals and help with light household tasks tied to childcare.

I have many young nieces and nephews, and my time with them—along with working at my local soft play—has reinforced my belief that play is essential to a child’s growth, learning, and happiness.

From September 2025, I will be student teaching at Madras College, making childcare not just something I do, but an important step in my professional journey in education.

I am currently looking for around three afternoons a week, including school pick-up, after-school care, homework support, and dinner preparation. I am also available on weekends when required.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £17.00 per hour

Rates:
* Permanent positions: from £17/hour - reflects both my childcare and educational expertise
* Ad hoc babysitting: from £14/hour, depending on number of children
