My Summary
About Me
Hello! I’m a positive, kind and caring childcare professional with many years’ experience working with children aged 2–16 in schools, nurseries and youth-work and mental health settings. I’ve recently started a role in a private school in Worcester, which means I’m available for after-school, evening and full-time holiday care.
I am passionate about working with children and creating a safe, fun and nurturing environment where they can thrive. I have experience supporting children with SEND and am confident in adapting my approach to meet each child’s individual needs, helping them feel understood, supported and valued. Whether it’s homework, creative play, outdoor fun or bedtime routines, I’m happy to get involved and tailor activities to suit your child.
I have strong safeguarding awareness, hold Paediatric First Aid training, an enhanced DBS check, and a full UK driving licence, giving families extra peace of mind.
A bit about me, outside of work, I have a huge love for the outdoors, sport and running, and I value the importance of wellbeing. I grew up around horses and have always had a strong connection with animals and nature. I love to bring this enthusiasm into childcare through active play, outdoor adventures, time spent with animals, and encouraging children to enjoy healthy, balanced lifestyles.
I also enjoy running, netball, rowing, keeping active in the gym and walking my dog! These hobbies not only keep me healthy but also inspire me to encourage children to develop their own confidence and love for movement, sport, and the outdoors.
I am reliable, approachable and always happy to muck in — willing to go above and beyond to support both children and parents. I am based in Worcester, and I would love to bring my energy, experience and genuine passion for childcare to support your family.
My Experience
I have worked with children and young people aged 0–16 across a wide range of settings, giving me a strong understanding of different developmental stages and family needs:
-Nurseries & Early Years (0–5) – caring for babies and toddlers, supporting feeding, sleep routines, and early development through play, stories and structured activities.
-Teaching Assistant (Primary & Secondary Schools) – supporting pupils in the classroom, helping with literacy and numeracy, encouraging engagement in lessons, and providing one-to-one or small group support. I also assisted with homework, learning routines, and pastoral care, ensuring children felt safe and supported within school life.
-After-School & Holiday Clubs – planning and delivering a variety of fun, safe and engaging activities for children of different ages. This included sports, crafts, outdoor play and group games, as well as supporting mealtimes, building friendships and creating a positive environment where every child could enjoy themselves.
-SEND Support – experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities, adapting activities and approaches to meet individual needs and help every child thrive.
-Youth Work – mentoring and empowering young people, building trusting relationships, and supporting them with their social, emotional and educational challenges.
-Parent Assessment Unit – working closely with families in challenging circumstances, supporting parents with routines, safeguarding, and providing hands-on childcare to ensure children’s wellbeing.
-Mental Health Support Team (MHST) – supporting children in schools with low to moderate mental health needs, promoting emotional wellbeing, delivering targeted interventions, and working alongside staff and families.
-Multi-Agency Collaboration – experience working with schools, local authorities and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
These roles have strengthened my safeguarding knowledge, emotional intelligence and adaptability. They have also given me the skills to build strong, supportive relationships with both children and parents, always aiming to go above and beyond in the care I provide.
