My Requirements

We're looking for a full time or part time nanny / help (20-30+ hours) to help us, ideally across three afternoons and one evening per week. We would also consider weekend hours. (Please note: the timetable in this advert is indicative of when we are looking for childcare - we can be relatively flexible on the longer evening, which could be a Wednesday or Thursday).

The successful candidate's duties related to the children will include:
- Some school pick ups and taking to clubs (e.g. swimming lessons)
- Preparing meals for the children and supervising supper time
- Supporting homework and music practise and encouraging the children to develop healthy habits around these tasks
- Getting stuck in with play time - drawing, puzzles, construction, time outdoors...
- Leading bath time and some bedtimes

This role also has some housekeeping duties, which are predominantly related to the children. The role includes:
- Keeping the children's bedrooms and playroom clean and clear, including their laundry and bedding
- Taking receipt of grocery deliveries
- Preparing children's meals, including some batch cooking
- Walking the dog (he's a well-behaved and well loved 10 year old cocker spaniel)
- Keeping communal areas clear and tidy (we have a weekly cleaner but we are looking for someone with initiative to help us stay on top of running the house)
- Running some local errands as necessary

Suitable applicants will have experience of looking after primary school aged children. Applicants will need to have their own car with a clean driving license. We will organise all necessary DBS checks and first aid training as required.

Salary: competitive - up to £20 per hour (gross) for experienced candidates.
