I am a 57 year old who lives in Newtownabbey. For 18 years I was a carer for my youngest son Andrew who had complex health needs and required 24 hour care. Andrews condition meant he had multiple seizures throughout the day, he had a Tracheostomy to help him breath which needed to be suctioned throughout the day to keep his airways clear .He had a peg tube for feeding as he could not swallow. I have experience in hoisting, position management and bed bathing. Sadly Andrew passed away in 2016.
