About Me
My name is Amelia, I am a calm, caring and dependable person with a genuine passion for working with children. I have over 5 years experience in nurseries (ages 0–4) and primary schools, giving me the opportunity to support children at different stages of their development.
I believe in creating a positive and nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore their interests. I pride myself on being approachable and reliable, and I enjoy building trusting relationships with both the children and their parents.
Outside of work, I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen with baking and cooking, going to the cinema, listening to music, travel and exploring new places, spending time with family friends and pets. (I have cats and a rabbit). I love finding creative ways to bring some of these interests into fun activities for children. For example going on walks and adventures, and introducing books.
My goal is always to provide care that combines kindness, consistency, and a little bit of fun every day.
My last DBS check was done in feb 2025 with my last job, I am currently waiting on a new one.

My Experience
I have over 5 years of experience working in nurseries and primary schools, caring for children of all ages. Childcare has always been my passion. I love helping little ones learn, grow, and feel happy and safe in their environment.
I am First Aid trained.
Over the years, I have gained a lot of knowledge in many areas amd have gained many certifications for such through e-learning and other courses. Some of which include; child development, working with SEN children including autism and ADHD, children’s mental health, and early years learning and play.
Parents describe me as caring, reliable, and patient. I believe in creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to explore their own interests. Whether it’s through play, learning activities, or simply providing comfort and reassurance, I aim to give children the best possible care while giving parents peace of mind.
Alongside childcare, I also hold a wide range of adult care certificates, which has given me additional skills in areas such as positive behaviour support, mental health and wellbeing, equality and inclusion, and first aid. This extra training allows me to bring a well-rounded, professional and compassionate approach to the families I work with.
My most recent dbs was conducted in February of this year.
