My Summary
About Me
As an accomplished Montessori educator and trainer (tutor and assessor), I have developed a deep passion for this philosophy, which has significantly impacted both my professional journey and personal growth. I take pride in my ability to build meaningful connections with children, fostering a secure, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. The relationships I cultivate with children and parents are founded on mutual respect, transparent communication, and a shared commitment to the Montessori philosophy. I adopt a proactive approach to support children in their learning. By utilising Montessori materials, I help children aged 3 to 5 enjoy mathematics and literacy, allowing them to achieve high academic standards while having fun. With many years of experience working with children, along with a BA in Early Childhood Studies and Montessori Practice and a Master’s Degree in Pedagogy, I play a crucial role in planning and creating a comprehensive Montessori learning environment that nurtures the holistic development of children. As I get to know each child's needs and interests, I weave their learning experiences around those interests, instilling a love for learning in a highly creative way.
My Experience
I have 18 years of experience working with children both inside and outside the Montessori environment. I previously managed a nursery that included a co-working space for parents on-site, which allowed me to collaborate with parents on various projects and enhance my communication skills. I also provided workshops and consultancy on child development. Over the past two years, I have taken on roles as a trainer, tutor, and assessor for adults who aspire to become the next generation of Montessori educators.
My Qualifications
I hold a Montessori trainer course and hold a Master's degree in pedagogy at level 7. Additionally, I have a Level 6 Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Studies and Montessori Practice, as well as a Level 6 Bachelor’s degree in Techniques of Psychiatric Rehabilitation. I also have a list of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses, which includes Pediatric First Aid with Anaphylaxis Training (Level 2/3) and Designated Safeguarding Lead Training (Level 2/3).
