About Me
We are a warm, fun-loving family deeply rooted in respectful, gentle parenting and open communication. Being present and intentional with our children is very important to us, and we value caregivers who see each child as a capable, unique individual deserving of patience and respect.
Our home embraces a slower, mindful rhythm. We believe children learn best through real-life experiences and self-directed exploration, so we prioritize unhurried days, time outdoors, and opportunities for hands-on learning. You’ll often find us reading together, cooking, dancing, exploring nature, and enjoying the simple beauty of everyday family life.
We have a curious and sweet 16-month-old boy and are expecting our second baby in May. We also share our home with Sensei, our big, fluffy, and very friendly cat who is very much part of the family.
We are hoping to find a nurturing, Montessori-inspired caregiver who values gentle guidance, clear communication, and supporting children’s independence while providing a calm, loving presence in their day.
My Requirements
Supporting us with two children, our boy 16 months old and our second baby due in May
Starting February
40 hours per week (schedule agreed monthly in advance)
One weekday evening per week
Some weekend work
One weekday off when family support is available (hours spread across 4 days that week)
Live-out
Shared care with mum
Located: Brixton/Herne Hill
Duties:
Working in a team with mum to support daily rhythms,
Cooking healthy basic meals,
Supporting with household tasks e.g tidying, organising, washing up, dishwasher
Occasional laundry duties,
Occasional grocery shopping, running errands, helping with admin etc.
The family have a cleaner
Mum is at home and dad travels for work.
