About Me
My name is Helen and I live in Martock with my 3 children, Tia who is 13, Logan who is 11 and Evie who is 8. We have 3 friendly dogs and 2 cats, although they have separate areas to the children so that they don't come into contact with each other. We have a large secure garden that can be accessed all year round. We love to be outside, exploring the outdoors come rain or shine and plan on lots of adventures visiting places such as Ham Hill, local national Trust properties, the Newt, local beaches, the library and farm shop to name but a few.
I have a variety of resources for the children to explore within my setting which I plan to add to over time, I work inline with the Early Years Foundation Stage to offer a happy, nurturing environment where children learn through a variety of play-based activities. Our curriculum is child centred and inclusive, giving all children the opportunities they need to flourish. Our mission is to enable each child to be happy, healthy and confident and to have a desire to learn through curiosity and exploration. Play is at the heart of all we do and is a vehicle for learning and developing personal and social skills, language and imagination. We work in close partnership with parents and carers to provide the best possible outcomes for all the children in my care.

My Experience
I am newly registered as a childminder but I have worked with children for nearly 20 years, during which I had a short break to look after my own children. I have worked in roles from an assistant, to the Deputy manager of a Pre-School and after-school club, then more recently the manager of a local Pre-School, which received an Ofsted Good rating in January 2025.
My Qualifications
I have several qualifications in childcare including a level 3 NVQ in Children's Care, Learning and Development. I have also completed my senco, advanced child protection and my paediatric first aid training.
My Availability
I am open throughout the year Monday -Friday from 8am until 5pm. I am available for before and after-school care for Martock Primary School. I will also be offering school holiday care for primary school aged children.
