About Me
Me and my partner both work full time and have a beautiful little boy who is four and a half. We live in Leytonstone. Our little boy currently attends a local primary school up until lunchtime.
My Requirements
We are looking for an energetic, highly experienced and responsible live-out Nanny with SEND experience to look after our five year old on weekday afternoons, three days a week (Monday - Wednesday) from January. The role would involve picking him up from Primary School, after lunch at 12:30, taking him home (8 min walk away) and engaging with educational support and activities until 6:30pm. Arts and crafts, letters & numeracy and reading would be expected, as well as outings to parks etc. if it's not raining! Our son is bright, cheerful and a joy to be around and has speech and language delays so a nanny with SEND experience and ideally Montessori or Nursery/Reception experience, plus the ability to communicate through Makaton and at a developmental-appropriate level would also be beneficial.

Our son immediately struck up a raport with Shabana and is always happy to see her. He has developmental delays but her calm demeanour helps him feel safe and settled. His writing/drawing has come on leaps and bounds during his time with Shabana, so much so that he now loves to draw and has the confidence to do so, which wasn’t the case before. He used to just want to watch us draw. She is focused on helping prepare him for school full-time by teaching him phonics, writing, numbers which is hugely beneficial and exactly what we want as he is currently at school part-time.
We hadn’t had a nanny before Agata, so had the usual worries of leaving our son with someone we didn’t know- but Agata soon she put us at ease. She quickly became our son’s favourite person. He would often wait for her on the staircase in the morning in anticipation of her arrival. Our son has health needs and developmental delays, but Agata was unfased and quickly got to know his character. They had a great time together - she always made sure his days were filled with fun - and we will always have happy memories of seeing them together. We can still remember him shouting “Agata” each morning she walked through our door, a big smile on his face as he ran towards her.
