About Me
Hi, I am currently in the process of registering as a childminder with Ofsted. I live in the West Heath area and work from my home. I have always loved looking after children and supporting them to grow, learn and develop in a fun and caring environment. I have three of my own children and i have been very fortunate to be able to be a stay at home Mom whilst caring for them, therefore i am very in tune with the playgroups and facilities the local area has to offer young children. My youngest is two years old and i love taking her to playgroups, parks, the library, farm and soft plays. I enjoy offering a range of learning opportunities including messy and sensory play. We have a beautiful garden with fun and exciting equipment where children can burst their energy and enjoy learning outdoors every day. Prior to having my own children i worked in nurseries and thoroughly enjoyed my time working with children.
My Experience
I started my training in children's care, learning and development in 2009 where i completed work placements with a range of children at a variety of ages in schools and nurseries. I started my first official nursery pracitioner role in 2011, during this role i worked with a range of children aged from babies to 5 years old. In 2014 i gained a new role as the Senior Nursery Officer where i set up and lead the 2-3 year olds room. During my time at work i supported children with additional needs ensuring that their needs were met in a safe and caring environment.

Foundation Degree Arts in Early Years
Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning & Development
Level 2 NVQ Children’s Care, Learning and Development
Paediatric First Aid
Level 2 Award in Food Safety
Designated Safeguarding Lead

From the moment you meet Jess she instantly puts you at ease. She has a warm, calm and loving presence.
Both my children are always so excited to go to Jess' and without fail have an amazing time.
We love hearing about all the fun things they have done whether it is baking, playing games or dancing and more, all of which Jess will incorporate learning concepts into which is fantastic.
We could not recommend Jess enough as a childminder and we are so very grateful for everything she does.
